Performance

The Ford Edge makes two engine available across its five trim levels, with the base engine being a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. More power can be had with the ST trim thanks to a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that manages 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. The base engine works with an 8-speed automatic transmission while the V6 engine pairs with a 7-speed automatic transmission. All trim levels come standard with all-wheel drive.

Technology

If tech is what you're most concerned about, then you can rest easy because the Ford Edge ensures plenty of tech with all trims. The SE trim of the Ford Edge comes with a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity. The SEL trim takes things a bit further by replacing the standard audio system with a 9-speaker audio system. The SEL trim also makes some packages available, which allow for increased tech features to be added. The Convenience package allows Shawnee, OK drivers to add remote start, a 110-volt power outlet, and wireless charging. Stepping to the Titanium trim ensures increased tech, including a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and wireless charging. The ST trim also comes with a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Interior Features

Interior features can be divided into comfort and convenience features, with even the base SE trim offering up a seriously impressive set of features. The SE trim comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth-trimmed seats, seating for five, and a roomy rear cargo storage area. The SEL trim replaces the cloth-trimmed seats with faux leather upholstery along with heated front seats. The SEL Adventure package allows for ActiveX faux leather seating materials to be added while the ST0Line trim gets red accent interior stitching and ActiveX faux leather upholstery. The Titanium trim gets leather upholstery and increased power settings for the front passenger seat. The ST trim gets front sport seats with silver stitching and leather/suede-styled upholstery.

Safety

The Ford Edge makes driver assistance features and classic safety equipment available. The SE comes equipped with a standard suite of driver assistance features, which includes automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring with cross traffic alert, lane keeping assist, and forward collision mitigation. Additional driver assistance features can be had with the SEL Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ which adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. Safety features go beyond driver assistance features, like classic safety equipment. Classic safety equipment includes seat belts and airbags.
