Performance Features
The new Ford Expedition is one of the most capable full-size SUVs on our lot near Shawnee, OK. It brings about sharpness and power. It features a powerful 3.5L V6 turbo engine. This is coupled with a horsepower of 365 and a torque of 420 pound-feet. The engine combines with an automatic transmission with six speeds and a rear-wheel drivetrain that is standard on all trims. However, you can choose the four-wheel drivetrain that comes with low-range gearing. What's more, is the four-wheel drivetrain option can accelerate up to 60 mph within 6.5 seconds. With this gear train, this powerhouse can tow up 9,200 pounds of cargo.
Comfort Features
Depending on the trim you choose, you can get luxurious features, which include a leather-wrapped telescoping steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable pedals, heated mirrors, Ford Sync voice control, and power-adjustable pedals, among other comfort features. With the base trim, you can get additional 201A and 202A packages. These packages allow the addition of a power liftgate, leather upholstery, and the heavy-duty trailer package.
Other additional comfort features that are available in the Limited trim option include automatic wipers, sunroof, power-folding mirrors, second-row seats that are heated, front parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, 20-inch alloy wheels, 12-speaker Sony audio system, and a power-adjustable driver's seat that can be adjusted in six ways.
The Platinum trim and the King Ranch trim are high-end trims with all the above features fitted as standard. In addition, other deluxe features include a blind spot monitoring system, premium leather furnishings, special styling on the exterior features, a wood grain interior option, satin aluminum exterior, adaptive suspension, ambient lighting, 22-inch wheels, and a powerful engine, to name but a few.
Technology Features
Some of the standard tech features in all the Expedition trims include the Sync 3 technology, which offers an easy way to get entertained in your car by allowing easy searching of music. It also offers other features such as voice recognition, a large touchscreen, navigation, climate control, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that helps you stay connected, focused, and entertained with the help of Google Assistant while on the go in Holdenville.
FordPass Connect is another standard tech feature that pairs with the 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection in your car. Both the driver and the passengers can enjoy the Wi-Fi hotspot that is powered by AT&T as it allows connections of up to 10 devices.
Safety Features
This new Ford SUV received a rating of five stars out of the possible five for side crashes and frontal crash from NHTSA. Also, it received four stars out of the possible five for rollover. It also received an overall safety rating of five stars out of the possible five stars.
Some of the standard safety features in the Expedition include brake assist, four-wheel disc brakes, adaptive cruise control, integrated turn signal mirrors, traction control, child safety locks, daytime running lights, electronic stability control, four-wheel anti-lock braking system, and the front side and front head airbags for the passenger and the driver.
The Ford CoPilot360 suite was added as a standard safety feature in all Expedition trims; this driver assistance suite offers:
- Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) that works together with the Cross-Traffic Alert to alert you of the cars in your blind spot.
- Rear View Camera, fitted on an eight-inch LCD screen, shows the entire area behind your car.
- Auto High Beam Headlamps, which detect poorly lit conditions and automatically switch the headlamps to high beam light. They also automatically detect oncoming traffic's lights and dim your headlamps to avoiding blinding other drivers.
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Braking, which automatically detects a pedestrian or a potential collision in front of your vehicle and sounds an alert, warning the driver of the potential danger. It also helps to increase the brakes' responsiveness. If, after sounding an alert, you do not brake to avoid the danger, the brakes are automatically engaged.
- Lane Keeping Assist, which helps you to stay in your lane by detecting your driving position on the road. If you veer off your lane, the system sounds a warning alert, and if you don't take action, it automatically adjusts the car to keep you on your lane.
