Which SUV is right for you in Seminole, OK: The Ford Bronco or the Jeep® Wrangler?
It's becoming clear that the Ford Bronco is creating some long-needed competitive heat for the Jeep Wrangler. After all, the Jeep Wrangler has offered only manual windows ever since its inception and just started offering power windows in 2025. The Bronco has a number of other advantages over the Jeep Wrangler. To help you decide which off-road-capable SUV is right for you, here's a comparison between the Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler, presented by Seminole Ford in Seminole, OK.
A high-level comparison of the Ford Bronco vs. the Jeep Wrangler
The Ford Bronco provides Shawnee, OK drivers with more potent and more fuel-efficient engines options than the Wrangler. In fact, it's not until you get to the most expensive Jeep Wrangler, the Rubicon 392, that the Wrangler offers a powerful engine. In addition, the Bronco has better ground clearance, breakover angles and departure angles as well as better camera technology than the Wrangler.
By contrast, the features in the Wrangler feel outdated, like the 3.5-inch display instrument display compared with a standard 12.0-inch cluster in the Bronco. What's more, the Ford Bronco gives Holdenville, OK buyers more cargo space and more passenger volume space than the Wrangler.
A comparison of off-road features
Both the Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler are capable off-road SUVs with standard 4x4 drive trains. Both have available part-time four-wheel drive and manual transmissions but the Ford Bronco has a seven-speed manual while the Wrangler's manual is only six speeds.
The Bronco offers Wewoka, OK drivers an eight-speed transmission on four-door models while Wrangler buyers have to pay extra for an automatic transmission. The most capable off-road version of the Ford Bronco provides 13.1 inches of ground clearance while the best the Jeep Wrangler offers is the Rubicon 392 with 12.9 inches.

A comparison of standard engines
The Ford Bronco comes with a standard 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that comes through with 300 horsepower and 325 lbs feet of torque. Meanwhile, the standard engine in the Jeep Wrangler is a V6 that gives you only 285 horsepower and 260 lbs feet of torque. The Bronco offers engine upgrades starting with a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 with 330 horsepower and a 3.0-liter V6 with an impressive 418 horsepower.
The Wrangler's standard 2.0-liter turbo engine only gives you an anemic 270 horsepower. You can pay extra for an expensive and cumbersome plug-in hybrid in order to reach 375 horsepower, but you'd still have a less powerful engine than the top option in the Bronco. An expensive 6.4-liter V8 is available in the Wrangler with 470 horsepower but fuel efficiency drops to 14 combined MPG.
A comparison of features
Both SUVs have a standard touchscreen display that measures 12 inches but the Bronco Big Bend comes with a large 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay®, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, five G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) mode, remote keyless entry, remote engine start, six-way manual front seats and heated power side mirrors.
The comparable Jeep Wrangler Willys has a much smaller 3.5-inch digital gauge cluster screen, four-way manual front passenger seats and cheaper cloth seat upholstery. The capability of G.O.A.T. mode and the easy-cleaning practicality of marine-grade vinyl are available in the Bronco Big Bend but not in the comparable Jeep Wrangler. From available 10-way power front seats to the premium Bang & Olufsen® sound system, the Bronco provides features that the Wrangler can't match.

A comparison of safety features
The Ford Bronco gives Prague, OK drivers an alert if they start driving out of their lane and it also provides a comprehensive view of the environment with a 360-degree camera. Unfortunately, the Jeep Wrangler doesn't offer those safety features even if you pay for the highest trim level. There are a number of other advantages the Ford Bronco offers over the Jeep Wrangler and we'll be happy to explain them when you visit us at Seminole Ford in Seminole, OK.
